On 18–20 October in Cairo (Egypt) Chairman of the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Belarus Petr Miklashevich took part in celebrations dedicated to the 50th anniversary of the Supreme Constitutional Court of Egypt, held under the auspices of the President of the Arab Republic of Egypt, Mr. Abdel Fattah Al Sisi.

As part of the anniversary celebrations, an International Conference “The Evolution and Progress of Constitutional Adjudication: Achievements and Challenges” was held on 19 October 2019.

The issues of increasing the role of constitutional courts in the formation of the state based on the rule of law, protection of the constitutional rights and freedoms of individuals at the present stage, improvement of the court proceedings and the use of information and communication technologies in the administration of justice were discussed.

During the forum Petr Miklashevich made a report on the topic “Constitutional Justice Development in the Modern Context”.
