Judge of the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Belarus
Anatoly G. Tikovenko
Born in 1952 in the village of Novaya Aleshnya, the Rogachev district, the Gomel region.
In 1977 graduated from Law Faculty of the Belarusian State University.
Completed a special-purpose full-time postgraduate studies at the Institute of State and Law of the Academy of Sciences of the USSR. In 1981 defended a Candidate thesis in administrative law.
In 1981-1986 − an assistant of the President of the Academy of Sciences of Belarus.
In 1986-1989 − a senior research officer at the Institute of Philosophy and Law of the Academy of Sciences of Belarus. In 1989-1992 − the doctorate studies at the Belarusian State University. In 1992 continued to work as a senior research officer at the Institute of Philosophy and Law of the Academy of Sciences of Belarus.
In 1993 defended a Doctor thesis. Has the academic title of professor.
Since 1995 − Head of the Laboratory of State Personnel Policy and Improvement of Public Administration at the Research Centre of the Academy of Public Administration under the aegis of the President of the Republic of Belarus.
Since January 1997 − Judge of the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Belarus.
Author of more than 160 scientific publications, including three monographs in the field of general theory of state and law, constitutional and administrative law. Participated in the elaboration of a number of draft laws.
He has been assigned the highest qualification class of the 2nd rank. Honoured Lawyer of the Republic of Belarus. In April 1999 received the Commendation of the President of the Republic of Belarus.
