      The XIVth Congress of the Conference of the European Constitutional Courts took place in Vilnius (the Republic of Lithuania) on 3-6 of June, 2008. The delegation of the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Belarus led by the Chairman of the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Belarus Petr P. Miklashevich took part in this forum. Chairmen and Deputies of Chairmen of the bodies of the constitutional control from 41 countries of Europe, along with the judges from 15 states of Asia, Africa and Latin America also took part in the Congress.
      Problems of legislative omissions in the practice of the constitutional courts were discussed at this forum.
      Before the beginning of the Congress the ConstitutionalClurt of the Republi of Belarus directed of the national report in which the activity of the Constitutional Court for the purpose of the overcoming of the legislative omissions in the legal system our country contained.
      At plenary session the Chairman of the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Belarus Petr P. Miklashevich made the report in which he informed participants of the Congress about the legal system of our country, perfection of the Belarus legislation, on the activity of the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Belarus on removing of the legislative omissions and about the measures on development of the institute of the constitutional control in our state.
      During the XIVth Congress the Chairman of the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Belarus Petr P. Miklashevich had a number of meetings with chairmen and judges of the constitutional courts of Armenia, Georgia, Latvia, Lithuania, Moldova, Poland, Russia, Slovakia, Ukraine.
