On 14 March 2025 the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Belarus together with the public association “Belarusian Republican Union of Lawyers” held a round table "The Updated Constitution as a Basis for Improving Legislation, Law Enforcement and Development of Legal Science" on the occasion of the Constitution Day of the Republic of Belarus

The round table was attended by Deputy Chairperson of the Constitutional Court N.A. Karpovich, Head of the Secretariat of the All-Belarusian People's Assembly, Chairman of the Belarusian Republican Union of Lawyers V.V. Mitskevich, Deputy Head of the Presidential Administration O.I. Chupris, First Deputy Chairman of the Supreme Court V.L. Kalinkovich, Minister of Justice E.I. Kovalenko, deputies of the House of Representatives and members of the Council of the Republic of the National Assembly, judges of the Constitutional Court, representatives of other state bodies, leading scientists in the field of constitutional law.

The issues of improving legislation on a new constitutional basis, aspects of the activities of the All-Belarusian People's Assembly, the exercise of new powers by the Constitutional Court, the role of general courts in ensuring the protection of citizens' rights were discussed.

Deputy Chairperson of the Constitutional Court N.A. Karpovich made a presentation on the topic “Trust as a social imperative and the value of constitutional development”. In their speeches the judges of the Constitutional Court were focused on current issues of protecting the constitutional rights of citizens by means of a constitutional complaint, the development of constitutional principles of a social state, and the formation of constitutional sense of justice.
