The amendments to the Constitution adopted at the republican referendum on 27 February 2022 strengthen the legal foundation of the state for the stability of the functioning of the state power system, the effective development of the Republic of Belarus as a democratic social state based on the rule of law.

The updated Constitution defines the model of the modern Belarusian state which is based on the will of the people, expresses the will of the people, functions in the interests of the people. This constitutional landmark obliges state bodies, officials, socio-political institutions in their activities to proceed from the will of the people, to act for the benefit of the people.

I congratulate all citizens of our country on the Constitution Day.

I wish them to fully exercise their rights and freedoms, conscientiously and responsibly fulfill their constitutional obligations.
