The International Conference “Modern Constitutional Development: the Role of Constitutional Review in Constitutionalisation of Law” on the occasion of the 25th anniversary of the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Belarus was held in Minsk on 30 May 2019

The conference was attended by delegations of constitutional review bodies of Azerbaijan, Armenia, Bulgaria, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Latvia, Russia, the Czech Republic, the delegation of the European Commission for Democracy through Law (Venice Commission), as well as by the judges of the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Belarus, heads of state bodies and other organisations.
Issues of constitutional construction in modern conditions, the role of constitutional justice in the constitutionalisation of law and law enforcement, problems of establishing the constitutional order were at the centre of discussions.

Chairman of the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Belarus Mr Petr Miklashevich made a presentation “Constitutional Development: Constitutional Review in the Process of Constitutionalisation of Law”.
