The Chairman of the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Belarus Petr Miklashevich took part in the International Conference “The State Governed by Rule of Law and the Constitutional Justice: Values and Priorities” devoted to the 20-th anniversary of the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Azerbaijan. The forum was held on July 6, 2018 in Baku (Azerbaijan).

The Chairman of the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Belarus Petr Miklashevich took part in the International Conference “The State Governed by Rule of Law and the Constitutional Justice: Values and Priorities” devoted to the 20-th anniversary of the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Azerbaijan. The forum was held on July 6, 2018 in Baku (Azerbaijan). 

The conference was attended by chairmen and judges of constitutional justice bodies from 16 countries of Europe and Asia, representatives of the Council of Europe, the European Court of Human Rights, prominent legal scholars.

The issues of how to improve constitutional justice, enhance the role of constitutional courts in ensuring the rule of law and protecting human rights as well as the points of interaction between national and international courts were discussed.

At the plenary session Petr Miklashevich made a report on the topic “Constitutional Justice within the Process of Development of Modern State Governed by the Rule of Law”.
