Deputy Chairwoman of the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Belarus Natallia Karpovich took part in the 112th plenary session of the European Commission for Democracy through the Law of the Council of Europe (Venice Commission)

 

On 6-7 October 2017 the 112th plenary session of the European Commission for Democracy through Law (Venice Commission) was held in Venice. Deputy Chairwoman of the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Belarus Natallia Karpovich took part in the session as a member of the Venice Commission for the Republic of Belarus.
At this session the opinions of the Venice Commission on the draft Judicial Code of Armenia, the Judicial System Act of Bulgaria, a number of laws of Ukraine, Moldova and Hungary were discussed and adopted, as well as other issues of constitutional and legal significance were considered.

Participation of a representative from the Republic of Belarus in the activities of the Venice Commission makes it possible to receive up-to-date information on constitutional and legal construction in European countries, modernisation of national legal systems and to inform objectively European colleagues about the constitutional and legal developments in the Republic of Belarus.
