On 26 June 2017 the Deputy Chairwoman of the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Belarus Natallia Karpovich held a meeting with the delegation of Shanghai High People's Court headed by Mr. Ni Yong, Senior Judge, Member of Judicial Committee of Shanghai Maritime Court

 

During the meeting issues of introduction and application of informatization and intellectualization as well as information support for the activities of the judiciary were discussed.
Natallia Karpovich told about the competence of the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Belarus as a body exercising judicial review of the constitutionality of normative legal acts in the state; activities of the Constitutional Court aimed at the supremacy of the Constitution, constitutional legality, protection of the human rights and freedoms; informatization tools used in the Constitutional Court; functioning of the official website of the Constitutional Court.
Mr. Ni Yong told about experience of electronic justice in the People's Republic of China and noted that the introduction of elements of electronic justice in the courts of the PRC permits to ensure access to and efficiency of judicial protection.

The members of the delegation of Shanghai High People's Court expressed their gratitude for the opportunity to hold this meeting and for the information provided and expressed their interest in developing contacts between judicial bodies of the Republic of Belarus and the People's Republic of China.
