On 15 September 2015 Chairman of the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Belarus Petr P. Miklashevich held a meeting with the representatives of the OSCE/ODIHR Election Observation Mission for the presidential elections in the Republic of Belarus.
Petr P. Miklashevich informed the international observers on the competence of the Constitutional Court and its activities in the field of the review of constitutionality of the electoral legislation, the decisions taken by the Court on the laws regulating the electoral process, as well as on the procedure of the access of authorised state bodies and individuals to the Constitutional Court.
In their turn the representatives of the OSCE/ODIHR Election Observation Mission for the presidential elections in the Republic of Belarus informed on their activities in Belarus and put a number of clarifying questions, including questions on legal positions formulated by the Constitutional Court when reviewing the constitutionality of the laws of the Republic of Belarus on elections and public events.
