On 3 September 2015 Chairman of the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Belarus Petr P. Miklashevich held a meeting with the members of the Commission on Judicial and Legal Issues of the Islamic Consultative Assembly (Parliament) of the Islamic Republic of Iran. Petr P. Miklashevich informed the guests on the competence of the Constitutional Court, development and improvement of the constitutional review in Belarus, procedure of formation of the Court, execution of its decisions, interaction with the Parliament and the President, role of the Constitutional Court in ensuring the supremacy of the Constitution in public life. In his turn the Head of the Commission on Judicial and Legal Issues of the Islamic Consultative Assembly (Parliament) of the Islamic Republic of Iran Allahyar Malekshahi informed on some features of the Constitution of the Islamic Republic of Iran, as well as on the competence and activities of the Guardian Council - a body performing the constitutional review functions. The Parties noted the importance of development of bilateral relations between the Republic of Belarus and the Islamic Republic of Iran in various fields and underlined the importance of cooperation in the constitutional and legal field.
