Chairman of the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Belarus Petr P. Miklashevich took part in the 5th annual Black Sea Regional Conference “Liberty and Security: Increasing the Effectiveness of the Constitutional Complaint” which took place on 27-28 June 2015 in Batumi (Georgia)
This forum was attended by the heads of state bodies of Georgia, deputies headed by Chairman of the Georgian Parliament, presidents and judges of the constitutional courts of Armenia, Azerbaijan, Bulgaria, Georgia, Moldova, Turkey, Ukraine, judges of the European Court of Human Rights, representatives of the Venice Commission of the Council of Europe and other international organisations, scientists in the field of constitutionalism.
During the Conference issues of ensuring the rights of individuals to freedom, the balance of rights provided by the European Convention on Human Rights, with their limitations, the practice of constitutional courts in ensuring the right to liberty and security were discussed.
