In the exercise of obligatory preliminary review the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Belarus considered the constitutionality of the laws of the Republic of Belarus «On Making Alterations and Addenda to the Civil Code of the Republic of Belarus», «On Approval of the Report on the Execution of the Republican Budget for 2013», «On Making Alterations and Addenda to the Law of the Republic of Belarus «On Natural Monopolies», «On Making Alterations and Addenda to the Law of the Republic of Belarus «On Price Formation» and some other laws
On 1-2 July 2014 by virtue of Article 116.1 of the Constitution of the Republic of Belarus, Article 22.3.2 of the Code of the Republic of Belarus on Judicial System and Status of Judges, Article 98 and Article 101.1 of the Law of the Republic of Belarus «On the Constitutional Proceedings» in the exercise of obligatory preliminary review the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Belarus considered the constitutionality of the following laws of the Republic of Belarus adopted by the House of Representatives and approved by the Council of the Republic of the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus:
«On Making Alterations and Addenda to the Civil Code of the Republic of Belarus» (reporting judge – Tadeush V. Voronovich);
«On Making Alterations and Addenda to the Laws of the Republic of Belarus on the Activities of the State Control Committee Bodies» (reporting judge – Valentina V. Podgrusha);
«On Making Addenda and Alterations to Certain Laws of the Republic of Belarus on Road Safety» (reporting judge – Leonid M. Ryabtsev);
«On Making Alterations and Addenda to the Law of the Republic of Belarus «On Price Formation» (reporting judge – Liliya G. Kozyreva);
«On Approval of the Report on the Execution of the Republican Budget for 2013» (reporting judge – Tatyana S. Boiko);
«On Approval of the Report on the Execution of the Budget of the State Non-Budgetary Fund of Social Security of the Population of the Republic of Belarusfor 2013» (reporting judge – Tatyana S. Boiko);
«On Making Alterations and Addenda to the Law of the Republic of Belarus «On Natural Monopolies» (reporting judge – Tatyana S. Boiko).
Based on the results of consideration the said laws were recognised to be conforming to the Constitution of the Republic of Belarus. At the same time the Constitutional Court stated its legal positions aimed to clarify the constitutional and legal meaning of certain provisions of the reviewed laws.
