In the exercise of obligatory preliminary review the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Belarus considered the constitutionality of laws of the Republic of Belarus

On October 24, 2013 in the exercise of obligatory preliminary review the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Belarus considered the constitutionality of the following laws of the Republic of Belarus adopted by the House of Representatives and approved by the Council of the Republic of the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus:

«On Making Alterations and Addenda to the Law of the Republic of Belarus «On Republican and Local Assemblies » (reporting judge – Alexander V. Maryskin);

«On Making Addenda and Alterations to Certain Laws of the Republic of Belarus on Activities of Political Parties and Other Public Associations» (reporting judge – Tadeush V. Voronovich);

«On Ratification of the Protocol on Making Alteration to Annex 2 to the Agreement on Regulation of Supplies of Certain Types of Steel Pipes Originated from Ukraine in the Territory of the Republic of Belarus, Republic of Kazakhstan and the Russian Federation of September 23, 2011» (reporting judge – Leonid M. Riabtsev);

«On Ratification of the Protocol on Making Alterations and Addenda to the Agreement on Regulation of Supplies of Certain Types of Steel Pipes Originated from Ukraine in the Territory of the Republic of Belarus, Republic of Kazakhstan and the Russian Federation» (reporting judge – Vladimir P. Isotko);

«On Ratification of the Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Belarus, the Government of the Republic of Poland and the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine on the State Borders Junction between the Republic of Belarus, the Republic of Poland and Ukraine » (reporting judge – Sergei P. Chigrinov);

«On Ratification of the Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Belarus and the Government of the People's Republic of Bangladesh on Visa Abolition for Holders of Diplomatic and Official Passports» (reporting judge – Petr P. Miklashevich).

Based on the results of consideration the said laws were recognised to be conforming to the Constitution of the Republic of Belarus. At the same time the Constitutional Court stated its legal positions aimed to clarify the constitutional and legal meaning of certain provisions of the reviewed laws.
