In the exercise of obligatory preliminary review the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Belarus considered the constitutionality of laws of the Republic of Belarus

On July 8, 2013 in the exercise of obligatory preliminary review the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Belarus considered the constitutionality of the following laws of the Republic of Belarus adopted by the House of Representatives and approved by the Council of the Republic of the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus:

“On Mediation” (reporting judge – Liliya G. Kozyreva);

“On Making Alterations and Addenda to Certain Codes of the Republic of Belarus on the Issues of Development of Mediation” (reporting judge – Liliya G. Kozyreva);

“On Audit Activities” (reporting judge – Tatyana S. Boiko);

“On Making Alterations and Addenda to the Code of Civil Procedure and the Code of Criminal Execution of the Republic of Belarus” (reporting judge – Tadeush V. Voronovich);

“On Making Alterations and Addenda to the Law of the Republic of Belarus “On International Agreements of the Republic of Belarus” (reporting judge – Sergei P. Chigrinov).

Based on the results of consideration the said laws were recognized to be conforming to the Constitution of the Republic of Belarus. At the same time the Constitutional Court stated its legal positions aimed to clarify the constitutional and legal meaning of certain provisions of the reviewed laws.
