On May 13, 2013 in the exercise of obligatory preliminary review the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Belarus considered the constitutionality of the following laws of the Republic of Belarus adopted by the House of Representatives and approved by the Council of the Republic of the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus:
“On Making Alterations and Addenda to the Law of the Republic of Belarus “On Electronic Document and Electronic Digital Signature” (reporting judge – Vladimir P. Isotko);
“On Making Alterations and Addenda to the Law of the Republic of Belarus “On State Registration of Real Estate, Rights for It and Agreements on It” (reporting judge – Valentina V. Podgrusha);
“On Livestock Breeding in Animal Husbandry” (reporting judge – Anatoly G. Tikovenko);
“On Making Alterations and Addenda to the Law of the Republic of Belarus “On Folk Art, Traditional Crafts (Handicrafts) in the Republic of Belarus” (reporting judge – Sergei P. Chigrinov);
“On Annulment of the Resolution of the Presidium of the Supreme Council of the Republic of Belarus “On Approval of Boundary Changes of Polessky State Radiation and Ecological Reserve” (reporting judge – Anatoly G. Tikovenko).
Based on the results of consideration the said laws were recognized to be conforming to the Constitution of the Republic of Belarus. At the same time the Constitutional Court stated its legal positions aimed to clarify the constitutional and legal meaning of certain provisions of the reviewed laws.
