In the exercise of obligatory preliminary review the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Belarus considered the constitutionality of laws of the Republic of Belarus

On July 5, 2012 in the exercise of obligatory preliminary review the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Belarus considered the constitutionality of the following laws of the Republic of Belarus adopted by the House of Representatives and approved by the Council of the Republic of the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus:

”On Narcotics, Psychotropic substances, their precursors and analogies” (reporting judge – Leonid M. Ryabtsev);

“On Making Addenda and Alterations to the Law of the Republic of Belarus “On the Basics of Administrative Procedures” (reporting judge – Olga G. Sergeeva);

”On Making Addenda and Alterations to Some Laws of the Republic of Belarus Regarding Notarial Activity (reporting judge – Tadeush V. Voronovich);

”On Making Addenda and Alterations to Some Codes of the Republic of Belarus Regarding Securities Market Manipulation” (reporting judge – Valentina V. Podgrusha);

”On Making Addenda and Alterations to the Bank Code of the Republic of Belarus” (reporting judge – Tatyana S. Boiko);

”On Making Alterations and Addenda to Some Codes of the Republic of Belarus Regarding Jurisdiction of Cases of the Military Courts” (reporting judge – Tadeush V. Voronovich);

with a number of laws on ratifications of international treaties.

Based on the results of consideration the said laws were recognised to be conforming to the Constitution of the Republic of Belarus. At the same time the Constitutional Court stated its legal positions aimed to clarify the constitutional and legal meaning of certain provisions of the reviewed laws.
