In the exercise of obligatory preliminary review the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Belarus considered the constitutionality of laws of the Republic of Belarus

On June 28, 2012 in the exercise of obligatory preliminary review the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Belarus considered the constitutionality of the following laws of the Republic of Belarus adopted by the House of Representatives and approved by the Council of the Republic of the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus:

“On the Approval of the Report on the Execution of the State Off-budget Social Protection Fund of the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection of the Republic of Belarus in 2011” (reporting judge – Tatyana S. Boiko);

“On Making Alterations and Addendum to Some Laws of the Republic of Belarus on the Issues of Considering Appeals of the Individuals and Legal Persons” (reporting judge – Olga G. Sergeeva);

with a number of laws on ratifications of international treaties.

Based on the results of consideration the said laws were recognised to be conforming to the Constitution of the Republic of Belarus. At the same time the Constitutional Court stated its legal positions aimed to clarify the constitutional and legal meaning of certain provisions of the reviewed laws.
