In the exercise of obligatory preliminary review the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Belarus considered the constitutionality of laws of the Republic of Belarus

On November 17, 2011 in the exercise of obligatory preliminary review the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Belarus considered the constitutionality of the following laws of the Republic of Belarus adopted by the House of Representatives and approved by the Council of the Republic of the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus:

 

“On Making Alterations and Addenda to Certain Laws of the Republic of Belarus on Issues of Departure from the Republic of Belarus and Entrance in the Republic of Belarus” (a reporting judge – Sergei P. Chigrinov);

“On Making Addenda to the Code on Administrative Offences of the Republic of Belarus and Procedural Executive Code of the Administrative Offences of the Republic of Belarus” (a reporting judge – Leonid M. Ryabtsev);

”On Making Alterations to Certain Laws of the Republic of Belarus on the Issue of the Responsibility for Military Crimes” (a reporting judge – Stanislav Y. Danilyuk);

“On Making Alterations and Addenda to the Law of the Republic of Belarus ‘On the Belarusian Society of Red Cross” (a reporting judge – Sergei P. Chigrinov).

Based on the results of consideration the said laws were recognised to be conforming to the Constitution of the Republic of Belarus. At the same time the Constitutional Court stated its legal positions aimed to clarify the constitutional and legal meaning of certain provisions of the reviewed laws.
