On December 29, 2011 in the exercise of obligatory preliminary review the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Belarus considered the constitutionality of the following laws of the Republic of Belarus adopted by the House of Representatives and approved by the Council of the Republic of the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus:
“On Counteracting Human Trafficking” (a reporting judge – Stanislav Y. Danilyuk);
“On Making Alterations and Addenda to Certain Laws of the Republic of Belarus on Administrative-Territorial Structure” (a reporting judge – Sergei P. Chigrinov);
“On Ratification of the Agreement on the Rules for Determining the Country of Origin of Goods in the Commonwealth of Independent States” (a reporting judge – Valentina V. Podgrusha);
“On Ratification of the Agreement on the Eurasian Group on Combating Money Laundering and Financing of Terrorism” (a reporting judge – Sergei P. Chigrinov);
“On Ratification of the Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Belarus and the Government of the People's Republic of China on Belarus-China Industrial Park” (a reporting judge – Valentina V. Podgrusha);
“On Ratification of the Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Belarus and the Government of the Russian Federation on Granting State Export Credit to the Government of the Republic of Belarus for the NPP Construction in the Territory of the Republic of Belarus” (a reporting judge – Liliya G.Kozyreva).
Based on the results of consideration the said laws were recognised to be conforming to the Constitution of the Republic of Belarus. At the same time the Constitutional Court stated its legal positions aimed to clarify the constitutional and legal meaning of certain provisions of the reviewed laws.
