In the exercise of obligatory preliminary review the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Belarus considered the constitutionality of laws of the Republic of Belarus

On July 7, 2011 in the exercise of obligatory preliminary review the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Belarus considered the constitutionality of the following laws adopted by the House of Representatives and approved by the Council of the Republic of the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus:

“On the Approval of the Report on the Execution of the Republican Budget in 2010” (a reporting judge – Tatiana S. Boiko);

“On the Appeals of the Individuals and Legal Persons” (a reporting judge – Olga G. Sergeeva);

“On the Arbitration Courts” (a reporting judge – Liliya G. Kozyreva);

“On Making Alterations and Addenda to Some Laws of the Republic of Belarus” (a reporting judge – Anatoly G. Tikovenko);

“On Making Alterations and Addenda to Some Codes of the Republic of Belarus on Improving the Legal Mechanism of Judicial Decisions Review” (a reporting judge – Tadeush V. Voronovich)

and a number of laws on the ratification of international treaties.

Based on the results of consideration all the laws were recognised to be conforming to the Constitution of the Republic of Belarus. At the same time the Constitutional Court stated its legal positions aimed to clarify the constitutional and legal meaning of certain provisions of the reviewed laws.
