Chairman of the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Belarus Petr P. Miklashevich will participate in the II Congress of the World Conference on Constitutional Justice, which will be held January 16-18, 2011 in Rio de Janeiro (Brazil).

The Congress will be attended by Heads and judges of constitutional courts and the equivalent bodies of more than 90 countries, representing the Conference of European Constitutional Courts, the Constitutional Control Organs of the Counties of Young Democracy, the Ibero-American Conference of Constitutional Justice, as well as representatives of the courts of the Commonwealth of Nations, the Union of Arab Constitutional Courts and Councils, the Association of Constitutional Courts using the French Language, Asian Constitutional Courts, the Southern African Chief Justices Forum and other international organisations.

It is planned to discuss the independence of constitutional review, judicial independence in the exercise of constitutional justice, constitutional courts interaction with the legislative and executive authorities.
