In the exercise of obligatory preliminary review the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Belarus considered the constitutionality of a number of laws

On 4 June 2010 in the exercise of obligatory preliminary review the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Belarus considered the constitutionality of the laws adopted by the House of Representatives and approved by the Council of the Republic of the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus:

 «On Making Alterations and Addenda to some Laws of the Republic of Belarus on the Prevention of legalization of proceeds from crime and the financing of terrorist activities» (reporting judge – Tatyana S. Boiko);

 «On the ratification of the Treaty between the Republic of Belarus and the Republic of Lithuania on the regime of the Belarusian-Lithuanian state border» (reporting judge – Petr P. Miklashevich).

 Based on the results of consideration all mentioned laws were recognised to be conforming to the Constitution of the Republic of Belarus. At the same time the Constitutional Court stated its legal positions aimed to refine the constitutional legal meaning of certain provisions of laws.
