In the exercise of obligatory preliminary constitutional control the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Belarus considered the constitutionality of laws

On 25–27 November 2009 in the exercise of obligatory preliminary constitutional control the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Belarus considered the constitutionality of the laws adopted by the House of Representatives and approved by the Council of the Republic of the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus:

 “On Making Alterations and Addenda to Certain Laws of the Republic of Belarus on Declaring Income, Property and Sources of Monetary Funds by Physical Persons” (a reporting judge – Olga G. Sergeeva);

“On Making an Alteration to the Law of the Republic of Belarus “On Trade” (a reporting judge – Olga G. Sergeeva);

“On the Ratification of the Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Belarus and the Government of the Russian Federation on Land Cross-Transfer into Ownership and Land Lease” (a reporting judge – Valentina V. Podgrusha);

“On the Ratification of the Air Service Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Belarus and the Great Socialist People's Libyan Arab Jamahiriya” (a reporting judge – Petr P. Miklashevich);

“On the Ratification of the Amendment to the Articles of the Agreement of the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development” (a reporting judge – Tatyana S. Boiko).

Based on the results of consideration all the laws were recognised to be conforming to the Constitution of the Republic of Belarus. At the same time the Constitutional Court stated its legal positions aimed to refine the constitutional legal meaning of certain provisions of laws and to fill gaps in legislation.
