The Constitutional Court of the Republic of Belarus exercised the obligatory preliminary constitutional control of a number of laws adopted by the House of Representatives and approved by the Council of the Republic of the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus in October 2009

The Constitutional Court of the Republic of Belarus exercised the obligatory preliminary constitutional control of a number of laws adopted by the House of Representatives and approved by the Council of the Republic of the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus in October 2009:

 “On State Ecological Expertise” (a reporting-judge Anatoly G. Tikovenko);

“On Making Alterations and Addenda to Certain Laws of the Republic of Belarus on State Registration and Cancellation (Cessation of Activities) of Economic Entities” (a reporting judge Valentina V. Podgrusha);

“On Making Alterations and Addenda to the Law of the Republic of Belarus “On Transport Activities Bases” (a reporting judge Petr P. Miklashevich);

“On Making Alterations and Addenda to Certain Laws of the Republic of Belarus on Atomic Energy Use” (a reporting judge Vladimir P. Izotko);

“On Making Alterations and Addenda to Certain Laws of the Republic of Belarus on Education” (a reporting judge Vladimir P. Izotko);

“On Making Alterations and Addenda to the Law of the Republic of Belarus “On State Registration of Immovables, on Rights to Immovables and Transactions therewith” (a reporting judge Olga G. Sergeeva).

Based on the results of consideration all the laws were recognised to be conforming to the Constitution of the Republic of Belarus. At the same time the Constitutional Court stated its legal positions aimed to refine the constitutional legal meaning of certain provisions of laws and to fill gaps in legislation.
