In accordance with the Decree № 14 of the President of the Republic of Belarus of June 26, 2008 “On Some Measures to Improve the Activities of the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Belarus” in the procedure of obligatory preliminary control the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Belarus considered the constitutionality of the Law of the Republic of Belarus “On Amnesty in Connection with the 65th Anniversary of Liberation of Belarus from the Nazi Invaders” in its session of April 29, 2009. Based on the results of consideration the Constitutional Court recognised the Law “On Amnesty in Connection with the 65th Anniversary of Liberation of Belarus from the Nazi Invaders” to be conforming to the Constitution of the Republic of Belarus.

The decision was published in the Bulletin of the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Belarus “Viesnik Kanstytucyjnaha Suda Respubliki Belarus”.
