During the meeting, Chairman of the Constitutional Court Sergei Sivets informed about the activities of the Constitutional Court, the expansion and strengthening of its powers in accordance with the amendments and additions to the Constitution of the Republic of Belarus adopted at the republican referendum on 27 February 2022, and the procedure for electing Constitutional Court judges by the All-Belarusian People's Assembly.
In turn, Chairman of the CIS Economic Court German Nurbayev focused on the competence of the CIS Economic Court, the procedure for its formation, and provided examples of the CIS Economic Court’s case-law.
In addition, the meeting participants discussed the prospects for cooperation between the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Belarus and the CIS Economic Court, as well as interstate legal cooperation in the judicial sphere within the Commonwealth of Independent States.
